American Theatre and Drama Society (ATDS) Past Presidents Talk about Past Accomplishments and Future Goals

Former presidents of ATDS will discuss past accomplishments of the association and make suggestions for future plans. Past presidents will be questioned by two junior faculty respondents.

Amy E. Hughes is Associate Professor of Theater History and Deputy Chair for Graduate Studies in the Department of Theater at Brooklyn College. Her first book, Spectacles of Reform: Theater and Activism in Nineteenth-Century America (University of Michigan Press, 2012), received ASTR's Barnard Hewitt Award for Outstanding Research in Theatre History. Geri Maschio

Director of Graduate Studies, University of Kentucky
Geri Maschio joined the UK Theatre faculty in 1984. She was the founding director of the BA in Arts Administration, which started in 1987. She then went on to chair the Theatre department (2 terms) subsequently becoming Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts. Geri recently returned to Arts Administration and serves as its Director of Graduate Studies. She continues to teach in the Theatre Department as well.
