Professor of Theatre, Penn State
Bill Doan is a writer, educator, and artist. A professor of Theatre at Penn State, his most recent play, Drifting, premiered at Dixon Place Theatre in New York City in 2015. Doan is adapting the play for the Graphic Medicine Book series at Penn State Press and has had two pieces published in Annals Graphic Medicine.

Object Lessons: How History Matters in the plays of Adrienne Kennedy and Suzan-Lori Parks, Cornell University
This paper will discuss how two examples of theatrical activism have negotiated the politics of the post- or para-human (Rotman 2008) brought to the fore by virtual media and environmental change.
