Jonas Basom is a national consultant presenter and teacher trainer for arts and literacy. Winner of the Bravo Award for Outstanding Arts Educator of California, he is the author and creator of the Drama Works! Teaching System (previously known as The Drama Game File), state-approved and adopted as the new theatre arts textbook in Texas for grades K-12. His curriculum has also been adopted across the country by school districts and arts organizations, and is used by college professors as a required text in theatre education and arts integration courses. Since 1993, Mr. Basom has taught drama to students from preschool through college in the Los Angeles area, including 9 years in LAUSD. He is an adjunct professor of arts courses for teachers at Pepperdine University, the University of Phoenix, and Cal State University LA.
