Associate Professor Denise Massman, M.F.A. has been specializing in all aspects of theatre design for nearly 40 years. She has designed for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks; Montana Lyric Opera Company; Montana Repertory Theatre; Missoula Children's Theatre; Vigilante Theatre; Alpine Theatre Project; Motrans Dance Company; onsite tableaus for the multimedia project Geyserland and for Grandstreet Theatre in Montana. Regionally she has designed costumes for StageWorks Hudson, The Capital Repertory Theatre and Curtain Call. Most recently she presented on the use of video in live stage performance at the Performance 5 Global Interdisciplinary Conference in Prague Czech Republic and exhibited costumed "scenes” at Critical Costume in Helsinki, Finland. She designs costumes and sets regularly for Siena College where she heads the Department of Creative Arts and teaches interdisciplinary and theatre design courses.
