I was instrumental in starting PTO in Omaha in 1995 and have been using it in communities and teaching the techniques since then. Currently I am working with a radical group, Omaha Tenants United, and have dangled the possibility of the group doing some TO. Also, my wife, Marghee, and I have initiated a 501c3 called To-Gathering that combines yoga and TO. We're just on the edge of beginning so we hope 2019 brings us some work and promise. -- Eek, clearly three years old. OTU went belly up last year, To-Gathering is not yet launched -- other plans are evolving. I led a workshop at U NE Lincoln two weeks ago (5-7-'22) with Teachers of Color. Wonderful experience.
Personal health note: A nagging back issue from January 1990 went to crisis on May Day 2021. Next day, couldn't walk. MRI revealed the bottom six vertebrae (lumbar) looking like a collapsed Greek column. Had spinal surgery this past March (on St. Paddy's Day!) and am now starting a 3rd month of what will likely be a year of recovery. So I move a little slowly, but the promise in the end is "no pain whatsoever". Can't wait.
